They have seen too many students graduating from other colleges inadequately prepared to start their therapeutic business. The Australian Hypnotherapy College provides students with the knowledge and business skills to empower them to run a successful professional therapeutic practice.

We strive to ensure our college is inclusive and supportive for all students. We understand everyone learns differently and provide a supportive environment where you can learn at your pace. Students can access all materials, videos and information at any time on-line. Diploma training requires weekend workshop attendance, either face-to-face or online in real time. You are never alone.

Karen Phillip - Lead Trainer
Karen Phillip, MC, is one of Australia's leading Counselling Psychotherapists, Clinical Hypnotherapists and Trainers. She runs a busy Central Coast/Lake Macquarie practice in NSW and works with people worldwide. Her experience and qualifications are of the highest standard, and she is a certified supervisor.
Karen and her husband, Wayne, decided to start the Australian Hypnotherapy College after speaking with many graduates who were struggling in business as therapists. After hearing many disappointing stories of students who were unprepared to step out professionally upon completing training and lacked basic therapeutic skills, Karen and Wayne decided to provide high-quality, comprehensive training to ensure all students are fully prepared and confident in their ability to start a successful, thriving practice. Wayne Phillip
Wayne is a qualified teacher who retired from his teaching position to focus on the Australian Hypnotherapy College. Wayne holds an Advanced Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy, NLP, Psychotherapy, is a Supervisor, and holds a Degree in Teaching.
For many years, Wayne has studied website design, SEO marketing, social media marketing and business development. Wayne is a graduate of the Business Blueprint organisation.
Karen and Wayne teach many small business owners the basics to help them get their businesses started successfully. They understand that most small business owners have limited funds to promote their websites, and they help them design their websites to rank higher in search engines. They also teach you how to connect with other Allied Health professionals for referrals, including the NDIS.
Both Wayne and Karen conduct workshops locally and overseas.
Brian Edwards
Brian is our college patron and training consultant. He is the previous president of AHA and PCA, with over 40 years of experience in Counselling and Clinical Hypnotherapy.
We are proud he is working with us to benefit students. Brian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Counselling and a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy, in addition he has variety of qualifications in Relationship Counselling, NLP and Theology. His knowledge and experience is unsurpassed.
Lynda Dyer
Lynda Dyer Msc, is a Certified Professional Trainer of NLP and a Master Trainer of Matrix Therapies. She is an International Speaker, Transformational Coach, TedX Speaker, Cast Member of Living Consciously TV Show, and International Best Selling and Award Winning Author of 13 books.
Lynda is our NLP trainer and is one of only 58 people from around the world who were chosen to be included in the documentary film, "The Secret". She lives with the motto ‘You Can Make it Happen Now’. Lynda writes, trains, coaches and shares her material with students.
Sue-Ellen Miotello
Sue-Ellen Miotello is a distinguished graduate of AHC and operates a thriving Hypnotherapy / Psychotherapy practice in Lake Macquarie / Newcastle, NSW.
Sue-Ellen has quickly become a sought-after therapist, holding qualifications in hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, EFT, NLP, and Life Coach serving as one of our esteemed assignment markers at AHC.
Sue-Ellen brings a comprehensive skill set helping individuals navigate and overcome various challenges for improved emotional well-being. She assists Karen and Wayne in marking many assignments and provides feedback and comments to students.
Martine Humphreys
Martine Humphreys, is an outstanding graduate of the Australian Hypnotherapy College (AHC) and operates a successful Hypnotherapy/Psychotherapy practice in Melbourne, Victoria.
Martine holds a Bachelor of Education (Science), a Bachelor of Teaching, an Advanced Diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy, a Master of Counselling, a degree in Business and Marketing. She is an NLP, EFT and EMDR Practitioner. Martine's professional journey includes establishing her thriving therapy practice shortly after graduation. She now imparts her expertise by teaching marketing and business strategies to AHC students. Martine is also a qualified Supervisor.
Martine's extensive knowledge and experience equip her to help students develop effective marketing strategies tailored to their individual needs. With a focus on practical application, she guides students in creating thriving therapy practices of their own. Through her contributions, Martine plays a vital role in shaping the professional development of future therapists at AHC.
Karen with PACFA President and CEO
Karen is on the Leadership Board of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA). Working with the President (Nigel) and CEO (Johanna) on supporting members of PACFA to improve their Continued Educational Development.
Karen works tirelessly on the NSW Leadership Board of PACFA and with Associations, to improve and support the educational development of Counsellors, Psychotherapists, and Hypnotherapists.
Karen is also working with leaders of the Southern Cross University where it is expected to enable graduate students of AHC to enter directly into a Graduate Diploma Degree at University to develop advanced Hypnotherapy skills and gain a University degree. Currently discussing a 50% RPL for AHC students.
